Meet Dr. Van Bodegraven

I am an award-winning professional educator with extensive experience in higher education, including as a Department Chair, Faculty Fellow in the Global Education Center, Curriculum Committee Chair, Division Chair, co-leader of several study abroad programs, and as an external evaluator of study abroad programs at other universities.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education-Spanish from The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA), a masters and PhD in Spanish from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA), and another masters in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ). Prior to retirement, I taught at a variety of universities and I was tenured three times - at Albright College (Reading, PA), Central College (Pella, IA), and Elon University (Elon, NC).
